Safari is a Swahili word meaning “long journey”, but in English, it usually refers to a tourist trip to see African wildlife. In parks such as the Serengeti National Park, the resident animals include lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, cheetahs, zebras, impalas, and giraffes, among others.
What animals would you most like to see on safari?

lions and tigers and bears (Oh my!)
I once had the opportunity to go on a couple of Safari’s in Krueger National Park, South Africa. We saw some pretty good stuff. Lions, elephants, gazelle, all that good stuff.
They are fun. A++ would recommend.

Hippos are the deadliest animals in Africa, and are responsible for more deaths each year than lions.
Go to Tanzania in May for the best viewing of animals like the wildebeast

I would like to see a cheetah, if I could look fast enough.
I am thinking that this might not be such a good idea first of all. For example, do the animals want to be in this captive environment, perhaps they’d rather go about their own lives? Also, such things end up obscuring realities, making places where life is rough, places that have been repressed and colonized, seem like exotic places for consumption of western (and other) tourists. Sort of a continuation of colonialism.
I suppose if I had to pick animals I would pick herbivores, along with farm animals that are not common where I live.
I would love to see the natural habitats of the animals that live in the area. Being able to see the animals is fantastic however, being able to see them behave in their natural habitat would be even cooler.
