In the winter, we often dream of heading somewhere hot and sunny. Palm trees and the beach are usually necessary elements to this kind of holiday. Some people take the chance to explore the local culture, while others are more active, and prefer to explore by bicycle or go scuba diving. Some people just like to recline in a beach chair.

To be honest, I LOVE the winter so why would I want to get away from it? Sure bit more sun would be nice at times but no temperature change required 😛 So I guess my favorite get away would be going snowboarding and enjoying the sun up in the mountains

I live in LA, so there’s no real winter to escape from. Honestly, I’d like to head someplace with snow- get some skiing and snowman building in.

I would prefer the reclining chair on the beach as well, with palm trees behind, ocean in the front, a cool beverage and soothing sounds of sea.

At this time in the winter in Pittsburgh, the “mid-winter blues” getaway pictured above sure looks (and I can even feel the warmth) great.
Rumor says spring is not far away in Pittsburgh, I really like the summer here.

I don’t like the heat, but a couple days on a relaxing beach would be nice, or perhaps the american southwest, which I hear has no humidity and so the heat is much more tolerable
